Team Management

ALI Remote · Help Center

The Team page is where you invite people into your agency, give them a role, and decide which iPhones they can open.

Where to find it

Open Team in the left navigation. The page holds two cards: the member table at the top, and the Roles card underneath it.

One account per person

Everybody who uses ALI needs their own account. Two people can be signed in to the same one at once without either being kicked out, but you lose track of who did what, and roles and phone access stop meaning anything.

Best practice: one account per person, and never a shared login.

Inviting somebody

New members join by invitation. You do not set a password for them: they choose their own when they accept.

  1. Click Add a member, at the top right of the page.
  2. Type their email address.
  3. Pick the role they should start with, or create a new one from the same dialog.
  4. Click Send invitation.

They appear in the member table straight away with an Invited badge, followed by their email address, who invited them and how long the invitation lasts. The badge goes once they accept and sign in.

Changed your mind? The bin icon at the end of an invited row withdraws the invitation, as long as it has not been accepted.

Changing somebody's role

  1. Find the person in the member table.
  2. Click the role pill in their row.
  3. Tick every role they should hold, and untick the rest.

Changes apply immediately. Somebody can hold more than one role, and what they may do is the sum of them all. A role that stands at or above your own is greyed out: you cannot hand out more than you hold yourself.

Phone access

The Access column shows what each person can open right now: every iPhone in the agency, one group, or the few assigned to them by name.

  • A role can carry See every phone, which opens the whole agency to anybody holding it.
  • A role can have iPhones attached to it, and everybody holding that role reaches them.
  • Anything narrower is granted person by person: click Access on their row and tick the iPhones they need.

Personal grants add to whatever the roles already give. Somebody who sees every phone has no Access button at all, because there is nothing left to add.

Removing somebody

  1. Find the person in the member table.
  2. Click the bin icon at the end of their row.
  3. Confirm.

The account goes with its sessions, its roles and its phone grants. Access is revoked at once and none of it can be undone, so when somebody leaves, remove their account rather than passing their login on.

Keeping track

The Last active column says when each person last drove an iPhone, and reads at a phone now while they are connected.

For hours, sessions and usage over time, open Analytics.

The roles every agency starts with

Owner

Full control of the agency: billing, every iPhone, every role, and every account below them. Keep this one for founders and partners.

Admin

Runs the day to day. An Admin invites people, manages roles and iPhones and sees every phone, but cannot remove an Owner.

Member

Sees only the iPhones assigned to them or to their roles, and manages nothing else. This is the right starting point for VAs and operators.

Anything in between is a role you write yourself. See Roles Management.

Best practices

  • One account per person, always.
  • Start people on the smallest role that lets them do their job.
  • Use roles for access that several people need, and personal grants for the exceptions.
  • Go through the member table whenever somebody leaves.

A tidy Team page is what keeps access, roles and iPhone assignment meaningful as the agency grows.
